Join us for our May meeting with the UF Center for Coastal Solutions! The University of Florida Center for Coastal Solutions is a bold new initiative founded in 2020, to predict and reduce environmental hazard impacts to coastal communities and ecosystems. They are conducting research in St. Augustine to help protect the marshes and dunes from sea level rise, erosion, and storms. April Meeting w/ UF Professor Jim Hoover
Join us at our April meeting on April 16th at 6:30 pm to talk with UF Professor Jim Hoover. Dr. Jim Hoover is the Director of the Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Center and is a clinical professor in the Warrington College of Business. He has an extensive background in analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, forecasting, and operations research. He combines a long career in industry with a passion for academics and research. His current research is focused on the integration of artificial intelligence into business and big data privacy concerns.
February Meeting feat. Brandon James
Join us Tuesday, February 27th, to talk Gator Football with Brandon James! Brandon was born in St. Augustine and attended St. Augustine High School and lead the Yellow Jackets to a Florida Class 3A state championship. He then played college football for the Florida Gators under Urban Meyer from 2006-2009 as a wide receiver and return specialist and won 2x BCS Championships. He now coaches at his alma mater – St. Augustine High School! We look forward to hearing his insight on Gator Football (and local football) as we prepare for the 2024 season. Cornelius played college football for the Florida Gators under Urban Meyer, where he won a BCS Championship and then went on to play in the NFL! 2023 Watch Party Schedule
We are thrilled to announce our Watch Party dates and locations for the upcoming Gator Football Season! We are so excited to be able to reach more of our members across both counties by hosting at 3 locations – Buffalo Wild Wings, Mr. Chubby’s Wings, and Houligan’s! For our first game of the season, Thursday 8/31 against Utah, we will only be hosting 1 watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings. These watch parties are for away games only. ESPN Radio play-by-play announcer Sean Kelley joined the University Athletic Association as the “Voice of the Gators,” replacing Mick Hubert, on July 6, 2022. Kelley is a veteran broadcaster with ties to college athletics, the NBA, NFL and Major League Baseball.

May 20th is International Gator Day!
To celebrate International Gator Day, The Gator Club of Historic St. Augustine will be performing a beach cleanup on St. Augustine beach in the vicinity of the A Street ramp followed by a get together at Beachcomber right at the end of A street. We will start at 9 am and wrap up and move to Beachcomber around 11. This is a great way to enjoy a day with your family, meet and network with other local Gators, and benefit our community!
