Brent Beaird has been a sportswriter and broadcaster since the early 1990s and is a Heisman Trophy voter. He does numerous college football radio segments across the Southeast each week as well as being a college football analyst for First Coast News, and on the podcast SECond HELPING with Travis Reier. Join us Tuesday, November 12th, to talk Gator Football with Steve Russell, the Sports Director of ESPN Gainesville since 1998 and also serves as the Sports Director for WUFT-TV. In this capacity Russell supervises all sports radio and sport television students in the INC. In addition to his duties as Sports Director, Russell also works for the University Athletic Association and IMG as one of the radio voices for Gator baseball broadcasts and also hosts the Amanda Butler TV coaches show. Russell has also worked play-by-play and as a color analyst for Gator volleyball, women’s basketball and softball.

Pat has written for the Gainesville Sun and appeared on numerous radio and television shows, providing expert insight into sports and SEC football. His deep knowledge and engaging storytelling make him a trusted voice in the sports world. We look forward to hearing his insight on Gator Football as we prepare to play Georgia.

Beat Kentucky with Shane Matthews
Join us Tuesday, October 15th, to talk Gator Football with Shane Matthews! Shane played college football for the Florida Gators under Steve Spurrier, where he was named the SEC player of the year in 1991 and 1992 and then went on to play in the NFL for 14 seasons! He now hosts a daily podcast called PodUp with Matthews in the Morning where he talks all sports, especially Gator Sports! We look forward to hearing his insight on Gator Football as we prepare to play Kentucky.
June Meeting feat. Ben Chase
Join us for our June meeting with Ben Chase, the UF Director of NIL Strategy! Ben Chase is a UF Alumni and completed law school at George Washington University. He has helped launch NIL collectives for seven programs while working for Blueprint Sports. He uses his experience in NIL and love for his alma mater to help Florida excel in creating opportunities for its student-athletes on campus and educating potential boosters and donors. The University of Florida Center for Coastal Solutions is a bold new initiative founded in 2020, to predict and reduce environmental hazard impacts to coastal communities and ecosystems. They are conducting research in St. Augustine to help protect the marshes and dunes from sea level rise, erosion, and storms. February Meeting feat. Brandon James

Brandon was born in St. Augustine and attended St. Augustine High School and lead the Yellow Jackets to a Florida Class 3A state championship. He then played college football for the Florida Gators under Urban Meyer from 2006-2009 as a wide receiver and return specialist and won 2x BCS Championships.
